The Walk-In Picnic Bench is a simple yet elegant addition to any outdoor space, designed for comfort and durability. Built with thick sections of Swedish Redwood and secured with bolts and screws, it offers a sturdy and stable seating solution that will withstand high usage in gardens, schools, pubs, and other outdoor venues. Its smooth, natural wood finish ages beautifully over time, with minimal maintenance required.

This bench is treated to be rot-resistant for up to 20 years, making it ideal for year-round use in all weather conditions. The tanalised timber ensures durability without the need for constant retreatment, allowing the furniture to be left outside with confidence. Whether you leave it to naturally silver or choose to paint or stain it to match your aesthetic, this bench is the perfect blend of style and practicality for any outdoor setting.

Why Churnet Valley?

Our furniture is eco-friendly because we only use wood from Scandinavian forests that are managed responsibly by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). This means that when trees are cut down, more are planted in their place. We also take the extra step of having our wood pressure-treated to protect it against weather for many years. Most garden furniture today is made to last only three or four years, but our products are built to last almost four times longer, which helps protect the planet's natural resources.

All of our products are handmade. Since they are made from natural wood, you might see some small cracks or splits. This happens because wood can lose moisture in warm, dry weather or when exposed to strong sunlight. In cooler, wetter weather, the wood takes in moisture again, which can help reduce these cracks. These natural changes don't affect the quality of our products. We do our best to smooth out splinters and rough edges, but we might not catch every single one.
