A strong, straightforward timber foundation for sheds, summerhouses and garden buildings.
Made in Staffordshire from pressure-treated Scandinavian redwood and supplied as a flat-pack kit with the timber pre-cut to size, screws included and clear assembly instructions.
Choose your frame:
- 3×2 Standard Heavy Duty – nominal 75 × 50 mm timber, finished approximately 69 × 44 mm. A substantial base for most standard timber sheds and garden buildings.
- 4×2 Extra Heavy Duty – nominal 100 × 50 mm timber, finished approximately 92 × 44 mm. Recommended for heavier sheds, workshops, summerhouses or where maximum rigidity is wanted.
WHAT ARRIVES?
A flat-pack kit containing the required pre-cut pressure-treated timber lengths, screws and assembly instructions. Simply screw the frame together on a firm, level, well-drained surface.
Why use a timber base frame?
- Creates a level support for your building
- Raises the timber building away from the ground
- Helps promote drainage and airflow beneath the floor
- Avoids the time and mess of pouring a full concrete base
- Can be installed before your shed or building arrives
Available sizes: 6×4, 6×6, 8×6, 8×8, 10×6, 10×8, 10×10, 12×8, 12×10 and 12×12 ft.
For easier handling and courier delivery, larger 12 ft bases are supplied in modular sections which join together during assembly.
Pressure-treated timber: pressure treatment protects the timber against rot, fungal decay and insect attack but does not make timber waterproof. Install the frame on a firm, level, well-drained surface and avoid leaving timber permanently sitting in standing water.
