Very impressed with this wooden parcel box. It was easy to assemble (great instructions), with loads of screws supplied. Sound, solid, treated wood and waterproofing to the lid a great bonus. This is made to last!

It’s a good weight, which is what we wanted. We didn’t want to drill a hole in the driveway/porch wall to keep it secure - and this box is a reasonable weight (but easy to lift/manoeuvre if you need to) so it won’t disappear down our village street when a heavy wind blows (unlike our wheelie bins 😊). You can fix it to something if you want, there’s enough long screws over.

The delivery was very quick, with the use of a company that gave us 2hr time slot the day after seller dispatched. Great to be kept informed.

Keep home deliveries tucked away when you are out. Handmade in Staffordshire from pressure-treated timber, the CVGF parcel box provides a practical place for couriers to leave smaller packages out of direct exposure to the weather.

Why choose the CVGF parcel box?

  • Made in Staffordshire: a substantial wooden outdoor delivery box, built by Churnet Valley Garden Furniture.
  • Pressure-treated timber: treated to help withstand everyday outdoor conditions.
  • Useful internal space: approximately 56cm wide × 40cm deep × 56cm high. Please check your usual parcel dimensions before ordering.
  • Easy collection: keep parcels in one designated place, ready for you to retrieve when you return.
  • Optional extra security: you can add your own suitable combination lock and give the code to your delivery company, where the courier agrees to follow those instructions. A lock is not included.
  • More than parcels: also suitable for keeping frequently used boots and other suitable garden items tidied away.

Will couriers use it?

Place the box where couriers can safely access it and add delivery instructions with each retailer or delivery company. Courier use cannot be guaranteed; individual delivery providers have their own rules and may leave parcels elsewhere.

Delivery and assembly

Supplied part-assembled and delivered by parcel courier. Delivery is available for eligible mainland British addresses; surcharges or restrictions can apply to some postcodes, including parts of Scotland. Check the applicable delivery information at checkout, and contact us before ordering if access is difficult.

Timber care

Pressure treatment helps protect outdoor timber against rot and decay, but timber can naturally weather, change colour or develop surface checks. The box provides shelter from the elements but is not a fully sealed or waterproof container. Avoid storing moisture-sensitive items without additional protection.

Why Churnet Valley?

Our furniture is eco-friendly because we only use wood from Scandinavian forests that are managed responsibly by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). This means that when trees are cut down, more are planted in their place. We also take the extra step of having our wood pressure-treated to protect it against weather for many years. Most garden furniture today is made to last only three or four years, but our products are built to last almost four times longer, which helps protect the planet's natural resources.

All of our products are handmade. Since they are made from natural wood, you might see some small cracks or splits. This happens because wood can lose moisture in warm, dry weather or when exposed to strong sunlight. In cooler, wetter weather, the wood takes in moisture again, which can help reduce these cracks. These natural changes don't affect the quality of our products. We do our best to smooth out splinters and rough edges, but we might not catch every single one.
