Very impressed with this wooden parcel box. It was easy to assemble (great instructions), with loads of screws supplied. Sound, solid, treated wood and waterproofing to the lid a great bonus. This is made to last!

It’s a good weight, which is what we wanted. We didn’t want to drill a hole in the driveway/porch wall to keep it secure - and this box is a reasonable weight (but easy to lift/manoeuvre if you need to) so it won’t disappear down our village street when a heavy wind blows (unlike our wheelie bins 😊). You can fix it to something if you want, there’s enough long screws over.

The delivery was very quick, with the use of a company that gave us 2hr time slot the day after seller dispatched. Great to be kept informed.

Why Churnet Valley?

Our furniture is eco-friendly because we only use wood from Scandinavian forests that are managed responsibly by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). This means that when trees are cut down, more are planted in their place. We also take the extra step of having our wood pressure-treated to protect it against weather for many years. Most garden furniture today is made to last only three or four years, but our products are built to last almost four times longer, which helps protect the planet's natural resources.

All of our products are handmade. Since they are made from natural wood, you might see some small cracks or splits. This happens because wood can lose moisture in warm, dry weather or when exposed to strong sunlight. In cooler, wetter weather, the wood takes in moisture again, which can help reduce these cracks. These natural changes don't affect the quality of our products. We do our best to smooth out splinters and rough edges, but we might not catch every single one.
