A breathable membrane sits behind the external timber cladding. It adds a secondary weather-resistant layer while allowing water vapour to escape, helping manage moisture within the structure. It does not replace the roof covering or normal timber maintenance.
Thick mineral felt is the standard roof covering. EPDM is a premium single-piece rubber roof covering with fewer joints and lower routine maintenance when correctly installed. The timber roof structure beneath remains as specified for the building.

Yes. Our showroom is at Belle Vue Mill, Belle Vue Road, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 8EP. You can also order online without visiting.

Understanding & caring for natural timber
Pressure treatment protects timber against rot, fungal decay and insect attack but does not make the building waterproof. Once the timber is sufficiently dry, apply a suitable exterior wood paint, stain or water-repellent treatment and maintain it periodically.

The Glossop Corner Summerhouse is a substantial pressure-treated timber building designed to make excellent use of a garden corner. With toughened glazing, heavy-duty cladding and solid timber construction, it creates an attractive and practical outdoor retreat.

- 45mm x 70mm floor beams
- 22mm timber cladding and floorboards
- 12.5mm tongue-and-groove roof
- 45mm x 45mm redwood framework
- 4mm toughened glass

Pressure-Treated Timber
The timber is pressure treated to help protect against rot and decay. With appropriate maintenance, pressure-treated timber can remain durable for many years. A suitable waterproof timber treatment should still be applied periodically.
We use responsibly sourced Scandinavian timber and manufacture durable garden products designed for long-term use.
Delivery & Assembly
