This is a truly magnificent wooden bench, heavy, substantial, durable and made to last!

An ideal piece for use as a memorial bench or as a long lasting presentation bench. This is a statement piece of furniture!
We designed and made this eye catching wooden bench with the thought in mind that we wanted it to stand out from all the other poorer quality garden benches that are available on the market. And we certainly have achieved what we set out to do. Since this bench has been displayed in our showroom we have had some fantastic comments and feedback about it. As with all our garden furniture, the Alton Manor Bench is made from durable Swedish Redwood, pressure treated to protect against rot for years to come. It has a smooth natural finish and is eye catching in all its natural beauty due to its size and strength. The pressure treatment removes the need for constant re treating against rot, and the wood will season naturally to an attractive silvered finish. You can if desired, paint or treat the bench with an appropriate product to your own taste.

This bench weighs around 60kg and is a robust and structurally solid item. It will come delivered to you fully assembled on a wooden pallet.

Please note, if you order during the weekend or around a bank holiday then please allow another day or two for delivery.

Your order will be dispatched within 7 days of purchase. Delivery information can be found on our delivery page here.

Why Churnet Valley?

Our furniture is eco-friendly because we only use wood from Scandinavian forests that are managed responsibly by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). This means that when trees are cut down, more are planted in their place. We also take the extra step of having our wood pressure-treated to protect it against weather for many years. Most garden furniture today is made to last only three or four years, but our products are built to last almost four times longer, which helps protect the planet's natural resources.

All of our products are handmade. Since they are made from natural wood, you might see some small cracks or splits. This happens because wood can lose moisture in warm, dry weather or when exposed to strong sunlight. In cooler, wetter weather, the wood takes in moisture again, which can help reduce these cracks. These natural changes don't affect the quality of our products. We do our best to smooth out splinters and rough edges, but we might not catch every single one.
